Ruins of Trinidad
Spot description
The Trinidad Ruins are a historic site near Encarnación, Paraguay and are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These ruins are remnants of a Jesuit mission complex founded in the 17th century that was once a center for religious activity and education in the region. The ruins include well-preserved churches, homes and workshops that were once inhabited and used by the Jesuits and the Guaraní Indians. Not only are they a historical gem, but also an important place for exploring Paraguay’s cultural diversity and heritage.
Admission to the Trinidad ruins depends on a person’s origin: ₲5.000 (Residence: Itapúa) | 15.000 ₲ (Residence: Paraguay) | 20.000 ₲ (Residence: Abroad)
Note 1: If you purchase the ticket as a foreigner, a valid passport is required
Note 2: After purchasing the ticket, you will first be shown a short film about the ruins in a room
