Once upon a time, there was a small city in Lower Franconia, called Wuerzburg, that almost no one heard of… Until now!
Wuerzburg is a small city at the main river, located in Bavaria. More than 34,000 students roam the streets, fill the bars and party, all day every day. But don’t worry, that’s not all.
The city is also known for its wine that comes from the local vineyards. We love our local wine like Americans love their burgers, like English their tea or like Swiss their chocolate. We drink it a lot, especially when there’s an occasion or thing going on and Wuerzburg has many of them. Wine fests in the summertime that everyone enjoys, no matter if local or tourist.
Not only is Wuerzburg known for its wine, it’s also known for the amazing culture. The Residenz and the Fortress Marienberg. Two historic buildings that attract many tourist and locals. With their beautiful gardens, fountains and architecture they serve as the best spots for pictures. When on top of the Fortress, heaven feels very close!
Oh and by the way: We have Dirk Nowitzki, our very first German NBA player!
Dirk, we love you!!
